Hilmorton Hospital

Brochure Design

The brochure for Hilmorton Hospital translates the journey of Tangata Whaiora into a calm, immersive visual narrative rooted in nature and cultural symbolism. Inspired by the metaphor of the Mokihi and the flowing river, the design reflects movement, transition, and the idea of healing as a gradual, supported process. A soft, desaturated green anchors the visual identity, supported by a palette of natural tones that evoke balance, restoration, and quiet strength.

The layout follows a minimalist structure, allowing content to breathe while guiding the reader gently through the story. Layered collages and subtle overlaps introduce depth and continuity, visually echoing the interconnected stages of the journey. Photography plays a key role, with carefully selected images of local landscapes, flora, and fauna reinforcing a strong sense of place and belonging.
